Create and manage API keys
Create keys, understand list fields, and safely edit, disable, or delete them.
Create a key

Open API Keys
Use the API Keys page in the dashboard.

Create a key
Give it a recognizable name, such as codex-laptop.

Select a group
The group controls model access and pricing.

Set limits
Optionally configure spending, IP, rate, and expiration restrictions.

Store it safely
Use a password manager or system key store, and never commit it to Git.
List fields and actions
